Gretchen & Melvin ❘ Belhaven, NC Wedding Photographer

Monday, May 24th, 2010

Last week I traveled to Belhaven, NC to photograph the fabulous wedding of Gretchen & Melvin. These two are so adorable together, and their wedding was totally awesome! They had some of the most fun family and friends I’ve seen at a wedding, and it was wonderful to see a whole town take part in the festivities in one way or another. Their reception kept me on my toes, and Mevlin (along with everyone else) was so entertaining a lot of times I wasn’t sure I would be able to shoot through all my laughter.

Gretchen made a beautiful bride – Melvin is a lucky man!

Congrats guys…enjoy your little teaser until the gallery is live!

Beautiful Day ❘ Outer Banks Family Beach Portrait Photographer

Saturday, May 22nd, 2010

What a beautiful day we had here on the Outer Banks! I had a great time taking some late evening photographs. The lighting and the temps were perfect – but I could have done without all that wind. Even better, I had some great company which resulted in some fabulous photographs!

Beach Portrait season is officially here!

Ann & Bryan ❘ Outer Banks, NC Wedding Photographer

Ann & Bryan had a beautiful and intimate wedding in Duck, surrounded by their wonderful family and friends. We headed out just the three of us to do pre-ceremony pictures with some dark clouds lingering in the sky. Maybe it’s my paranoia, or the fact I was born and raised on the OBX, but I knew rain was coming and had already scoped out the rental cottage we were going to run to in case of droplets. Sure enough, not even a handful of shots in the rain came and we ran. Since our poor little golf cart was now soaked a sweet family member thought to drive down and check on us – giving us a ride back to their cottage. Luckily within 30 minutes to rain had passed and we headed back down to the beach for some beautiful portraits before their wedding. They are such an awesome couple, and their ability to just “go with the flow” made them so enjoyable to work with. The rain didn’t seen to stress them out – and if it did, they never let it show.

Congrats again Ann Hope & Bryan! Hope you’re having a wonderful time on your honeymoon!

Sneak Peak: G & G ❘ Outer Banks Portrait Photographer

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing Gavin and Gage at the Island Farm here in Manteo. I’ve been photographing their family for a while now and just can’t believe how big the kids are getting. Gavin and I had a wild time (literally!) running around having fun. He’s such a funny kid, I told him mom I needed to start a gallery with just the many faces of Gavin. Let’s not forget about little Gage, who at Christmas wasn’t even sitting on his own. Now he’s *this* close to walking, and full of smiles.
